Fresh and local. It reminds me of the salumeria's back home in NYC rather than the fish markets there, but that's okay with me. They have a large selection for a smallish place. The staff is friendly and ExTRemelY helpful in choosing fresh seafood. And they have fresh french bread, which was very good as well. I'm so happy we found this place even though I'm moving a little further away than I am now, I'll come back for my fresh fish needs.

Best seafood in town! Fresh, fresh, fresh! Great service too. I have been going there for many years. They have added gourmet and specialty foods to make this market even better!

THE BEST! Many years ago when my family first moved to Boynton, we would drive around and around looking for fresh crabs, fresh fish, fresh...you get the point: SEAFOOD! It is FLORIDA after all! We are talking Boynton BEACH! It shouldn't be that hard... Au contraire mon frare: it ain't as easy as you'd think! All other "seafood" markets in the area were constantly disappointing (except if you meet up with the fishing boats as they come in off the AIA), so I am here to save you time and disappointment - CAPTAIN FRANK'S SEAFOOD MARKET is THE place to go!! Selection is expansive: Literally any type of seafood you could ask for (if it's in season) and everything imaginable to go with it. Their prices are fair, the service is friendly and informative, their location is easy (near I95 and the A1A on Boynton Beach Blvd.) and the quality is FRESH as it gets!

We had the best lobster tails and shrimp from here! The lobster was clean, fresh, and tasted great! The shrimp was also very good and large. They have it all, we also purchased a loaf of bread that was very good! The garlic herb butter was delicious with the lobster.

I love having this joint in my zipcode. The business model is simple, Captain Frank ventures out into the deep blue and catches fish. Next, he transports them in containers in which the fish do not spoil, this way he can sell them to us. I bought some fresh wild salmon and branzino last week and notwithstanding the fact that I am a great cook, the fish was fresh and delicious. Thank you, Captain Frank. Cheers to you and many a future safe voyage.

I LOVE Capt Frank's Seafood Market. The guys are ALWAYS helpful in steering me in the right direction for my meal. Offering suggestions, recipes, and "add on's" to make it even better. Don't skip the homemade condiments, like their cocktail sauce! The cost is a little more than your local Publix, but the quality of fish is SOOOOO much better! It is so fresh, and cooks so much nicer and the flavors are better, too. And the care taken with the cuts is so worth it. Capt Frank's is the BEST!

I have ordered lobster from here before. This is why i was so excited to pick up 3 huge lobsters for my parents 59th anniversary. In advance, I requested the lobsters to be cooked and split (a service captain frank's happily offers) and to be warm when picked up at 330 on a Friday afternoon. Despite the fact that i ordered the lobsters in advance and was told my request could be easily met, when I got to the store, I waited at least 15 minutes for the lobsters. I never was sure why it took this long, but took the time to purchase a few additional items as we waited. Their lobster cakes and crab cakes looked great so I ordered two of them. When I was asked if I would like some tartar sauce or cocktail sauce for these fairly expensive fish cakes, I had no idea that I would be charged EXTRA for some prepared sauce. But in the end, my favorite fish store had actually charged me extra for tartar sauce despite the fact my final bill amounted to over $120. And although that was petty, it was not the reason I have chosen to write just how disappointing Captain Frank's service and food was. My real disappointment came when we brought the lobsters to the 59th anniversary party which was about 20 miles from Captain Frank's store. The lobsters looked good until those who began eating them discovered that the tails were extremely chewy because they had been overcooked. For my 87 year old dad, the lobster tail was 'inedible' and, much to everyone's chagrin, the lobster tail actually landed back on his plate. The other party attendees had the same sentiment.....that the lobsters had probably been cooked right initially, but they had been cooked so many hours in advance that the lobster tail had simply dried out as the order waited to be picked up. This was the most reasonable explanation. And, although the quality of the lobsters were unacceptable, there are professional ways to handle these sort of situations. This is NOT what happened. When I called the store to let them know that the lobsters were overcooked, before I could even finish explaining what the lobster's texture was, the Captain Frank's rep on the phone started yelling at me that he knows how to cook lobster and he cooked them perfectly - the exact description he used. His message was clear: He knew what he was doing and that I was wrong and so were the others - who could only describe the lobster tails they were given -as chewy and overcooked. Capt. Frank's phone representative became completely defensive (which one should consider a clear sign of some sort of guilt) and through a heated monologue explained that it was not possible for me to be right and that he had done this for 36 years and I if I wanted to come back right then and BUY additional lobsters (at some sort of discount) I should leave the 59th anniversary party and bring them back to the store which was 20 miles from the party. In fact, he stated strongly that I should be happy he was even offering me that because, once again, he irately explained that the lobsters were perfect and that the people who were eating the chewy overcooked tails were wrong. He never even took a moment to listen as I tried to explain that each of the people eating lobster were lobster lovers and had eaten lobster for decades - all over the world. The take away- this would be the last place I would purchase anything from again because the Capt Frank's phone representative responded as a bully would respond. His reaction was unprofessional and very disappointing and in despite the fact that I was a huge fan of this store, I could no longer recommend this store to anyone. If you want to be treated respectfully as a customer, Captain Frank's may not fill your needs.

Took the advice of fellow Yelp users and drove here for some fresh seafood. My girlfriend and I were blown away at the freshness and quality of the seafood. First time in i purchased some Red Snapper and the monger even gave me tips on how to cook it properly. 2nd trip I needed to by a bunch of seafood for some Ciopinno. Everything was fresh and because they didn't have the cod I needed they took my number and called me when it came in. That was great service in my opinion. Some of the seafood was a bit pricey but still much cheaper than up in Wisconsin. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be back.

Very disappointed with the service from whom I believe was one of the owners. Went to order over $300 in seafood for Christmas. From the moment I got there I was greeted by a rude and unhelpful woman. I asked for 12 Lobster tails, 5 dozen Clams, 3 dozen Mussels 2 lbs. Jumbo shrimp and 3 lbs. of Dungeness crab clusters. She pointed at the cooler and said "the lobster tails are in there" Considering that I am in a wheelchair you would think she would offer to get them out of the cooler? No, no help. Not until she saw me struggling and searching through dozens of tails to find the size I wanted did she then offer to get them out. On to the Dungeness Crab which they did not have. When I asked for a recommendation the other lady behind the counter who also was rude laughed and said "we have Blue Crabs that someone didn't pick up" I can give you them. I asked questions about the crabs as those are not anything near Dungeness Crab. I then asked what other options do they have? she stated "King and Queen" which to me was not what I was looking for. I asked if they were going to get Dungeness in? She laughed and said no they are hard to get and tried selling the Blue Crabs on me again. When I explained that Blue Crabs are whole crabs and that's not what I wanted. She then questioned why I was so set on Dungeness and said rudely she was only trying to help. On to the Clams and mussels, which I should have left at that moment but I continued to order. The Clams were ok however she didn't even know the kind they were just called them "small" and the mussels were also very small but both were fresh I have to say. I then went to complete my order with the Shrimp which tops the cake in rudeness. When I ordered the shrimp I ordered 2 lbs. large shrimp cleaned and deveined, the lady said we only clean Jumbo shrimp. I then changed my order to Jumbo shrimp so they can be cleaned. She started ranting to me about its 3:30pm on Sunday and they close at 3pm and she cant clean the shrimp and next time I need to call my order in ahead of time. I then showed her my hands which have no movement and said I cant peel the shrimp because I am a quadriplegic and asked if she could have someone do it for me. She said absolutely not. At that moment I wanted to leave. I didn't have my crab and I was not going to by the shrimp without them being cleaned. It is the Sunday before Christmas, I would think they would have been overstocked with seafood and open late. I did go into the store before 3pm and should have received the same service as if it was noon. But no they would rather throw a sale away then to stay late on the busiest day of the year for them. Because I was limited on time I bought the Tails, Clams and Mussels and figured I would go to Seafood World in Deerfield the next day for the missing items. A little bit of a drive from my house but well worth it considering they have excellent customer service and an abundance of crabs and shellfish. It gets better. The owner was at the register and after I paid $250 for half my order he has the nerve to give me his business card and say next time call ahead when placing a bulk order. Like I own a restaurant or something. My girlfriend who he handed the card to because remember my hands don't work asked me what I wanted to do with the card? I laughed and said leave it. Hopefully he got the point. How dare you treat a customer like this and demand them to call ahead next time. I am all for small businesses but you would never get treat like that at Whole Foods or the Boys Market and better yet Seafood World where I should have went from the beginning who completed my order peeled shrimp and all. Plus I received a 10% discount!! Good luck in business and fix your customer service skills.

This place is the real deal! If you want FRESH quality seafood, and realize that it will cost a little more than a grocery store, this is the place to go... the ONLY place in the area that has REAL large sized New England steamers and lobster, imported weekly from Boston ... I am sitting here having steamers and beer, and am happy as a clam... LOL... I've bought their Sea Bass and Snapper, and New England lobster cakes, and the freshness and flavor cannot be beat...

Very clean, very fresh, very friendly. Really, their seafood looks amazing. Their fish is very attractive. They have live lobster waiting for you and nets full of clams. They have chowder that they always boast. There are a lot of condiments that you can pick up there to compliment whatever seafood you get there. They also have tins of caviar and alligator, etc. They also have a freezer where you can grab some gelato or pie to end the meal with. They also have baguettes by the cashier, but they're always sold out by the time I get there :( I highly recommend Captain Frank's.

I don't know why Captain Frank's is in here twice! I put it on the Yelp map last year and now there is this listing. Whatever!

I made two purchases, Diver size scallops and a crab cake. The Scallops were priced at $22.99 with mixed sizes from very large to medium. The Crab cakes were priced at $4.99/ea. they looked very appealing. After cooking the scallops we found that the pan foamed with a white a solution and the scallops diminished in size by almost half and had a caustic flavor. The crab cake was sauteed in a combination of olive oil and butter. The crust was golden but that was about it. No flavor of anything but green/red pepper and mush, no crab flavor at all. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I think if you stick with the fish you probably wont be disappointed but it's Boca prices in Boynton Beach. need i say more?

We were looking for a fish market and asked one of the local independent grocers for suggestions; he directed us here, where we found a huge case with a wide variety of fresh fish and a freezer with frozen prepared fish and other aquatic animals. The folks there are friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of information as needed-- I think we've found our regular fish market from now on.

This is great fish market with fresh seafood and great service. They opened three dozen cherry stone clams very quickly which led to some terrific linguine with clam sauce. Will definitely go back for future cooking adventures.

Best fresh seafood in town! Any kind of fish you can imagine, they have it here and its FRESH! Organic salmon, mahi mahi, grouper, sea bass, assortment of shrimp, live crabs and lobster too. They are always busy but really accommodating to the buyer. Tell them what you think you want they will precisely cut it for you and even offer some good cooking techniques. So happy I found this fresh fish market!
